POST 12... MOscow in the snow again

Aerial view from 15th Floor Dom 35 ( 26 Nov)

Moscow is probably at its most characteristically beautiful after a good heavy snowfall, when the white stuff turns the hectic city into a hushed and happy playground, especially when the first snows settle in November.

25 December is a working day in Russia - the Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on 6 January - and New Year is the big winter holiday. and continue on and off right up to the Orthodox New Year (13th January).

Though Moscow can be bitterly cold in the dead of winter, travelers and locals alike find ways to enjoy the outdoors , in the parks with ice sculptures.
How I wish I could be there again one day.........

POST 11: The most challenging moment for survival.

I would understand how she felt about running her daily life with an injured, cement casted left foot and away from home. It was indeed not easy for her as she was deprived from her usual active life. It took a really strong heart to stay in the room while others went to uni and ran their normal activities. And I believed , T has all the strength and willpower to overcome the challenges .

It was proven when she insisted to stay back in Moscow , doing her own self study in the hostel using the notes and softcopies given by some of her kind and helpful coursemates. Nevertheless, some of them went missing on transit too...Besides they are few who were very close to her before beginning to stay away and resisted to help. How unfortunate it was ,as they were our own countryman.... More disappointingly, the key person in the futsal team never has been in picture since she had the incident. ..What a ruthless teamleader she was.!!!!.....After all, this is the moment we know who are our real, good friends whom we will stick with and those to stay away from.

Despites of that, they are many who are really care, assist and continue to motivate her to survive her daily life. They really have a great community of Malaysians ( sisters and brothers ) who are really care and help each other especially those who are in need.(usrah sisters)

They assisted her to go to hospital for treatment, took her to the Dean office reporting her conditions., They even accompanied her and arranged for her transportation to uni for control sessions and examinations.

They bought crutches to assist her to walk, cooked for her ,bought food and even took parcels from post office and many others (even though we lost 3 parcels due to late collection ).. Above all, the moral support and love given by them will definitely help T to stay strong to face the adversity.

And now they have arranged for her flight home during the winter breaks ...

I am really thankful to all of them who has been very kind to our families. The kindness that we definitely could not repay and we could only pray that Allah the Almighty will rewards and bless them .

I would take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitute and appreciation to all who have been supporting her all the way .

To T, All the success in your controls and examination .

May Allah protect and guide you on your trips to Uni and dekanats for the above sessions

POST 9: When she will be joining her classmates?

She misses her lectures and control session very much... she is very excited to be back to join her classmates despites her injuries she suffered after 5 minutes being on the futsal game? It was a sad tragedy for her ending up with a casted foot probably for weeks . She had been very active in sport during school days and heavily involved in taekwan do competition for many many years during the school days and none of them ended with such a tragedy ... Pitifully, One might wonder how could she walked from Volgina street to uni with crutches and casted leg in such heavily snowing days.......

But I trust with the support and prayers from her friends and families , she will has all the guts , confidence and patience to face these challenges , Insya Allah. May Allah provide her guidance , will and strength to overcome the adversity ... Ameen

POST 8: Unfortunate incident

Saturday night 19th November marked an unforgettable incident when T had her left foot badly sprained and swollen. It was later found she has a minor fracture on her metatarsals hence need to be casted. It happened during the match in the Muslimah futsal League in Sportzul. She was playing as a midfielder for Rafflesia team when the opponent team member accidently collided and toppled her in pain. She was immediately attended by paramedic during the game. She was later helped and brought back to the hostel by her teammates . She was later attended by a PHD student (Miss Maro) who was staying in the same dome with her. Thanks for everyone who took care and helped her all the way. However, she is now could not attend classes as she is unable to walk as the left foot is swollen badly. She is very upset as she will miss classes and control sessions for undefinite number of days........, She definitely needs crutches to help her to walk..... I am really upset about the incident and pray to Allah for her quick recovery and hope someone will immediately take her to clinic to execute a medical check up and also get crutches for her. Even though I am not medically trained person , I always presumed time is very crucial to ensure quick treatment is being done to her leg to avoid any potential future implication.
Most importantly, she wish to be back to join her classmates and does not wish to miss too many classes and control sessions.

I sincerely wish that her friends despite their full commitment to their study ( in which I am fully aware and understand) will find some spare time to help her to get a medical check up in any clinic and and also to get her crutches in the meantime. I would like to convey my thanks to those who have been so kind and helpful to her and hope they will continue to provide assistance to her till her recovery.

In the meantime, I hope T will continue to stay strong and patient with this incident and pray to ALLAH for a quick recovery.

POST 7: Eidul Adha in Malaysia Embassy

6th Nov 2011, Festive of Sacrifice "Eidul Adha" is being greeted with a lot enthusiasm by all Muslims all over the world. A day before that was the day of Wukuf at Arafah where Muslims who are not performing Haj in Mecca are encourage to fast during that day.
Muslims worldwide gather for communal prayers on the first day of Id al-Adha (Eid-ul-Adha)the last month of the Muslim year. This is the second of the two major Muslim annual holidays. In most areas, this event is celebrated over several days.

Malaysian Embassy in Moscow

On the day of Arafah, 5th Nov (9 ZulHihjjah) , T and her friends celebrated the day by preparing a variety of Malaysian food and dishes in Dom 39 beside performing fasting on that day.. On the next day ie. Eidul Adha, they went to Malaysian Embassy to perform solat Eidul Adha and participating in the event organized by the embassy for Malaysian staying all over Moscow in particular.

M2 students (Muslimah)

Even though we missed T very much as this is the first ever she was away from us during this kind of festive event but I am glad she has been comfortably managed her life among great friends in a foreign land and culture as I have experienced myself many many years back as a student in UK.

POST6: The lectures started at last

Huuh, The class has started at last on 31 st Oct after a lot of hussle and new beraucracy and new rules being imposed . Surprisingly there were less number of new students as previously expected. It was rumoured that it was due to the new restrictions and higher entry qualification imposed by Uni. That has resulted most of the students have been moved to M1 instead?.
Whatever it is...... the war has began .....

A doctor to be..insyaAllah

Best of luck to T and her friends.

POST 4: Wanna to be active in sports ?

It would not be a surprise, if she joined any sports or activities while she is in Moscow because even before leaving for Moscow for the first time, she has been looking forward to join in any activities of her interest when she was in there .This was partly due to her track record in her previous school where she was very active during her school days. Beside participating in extra curiculum activities in her school, she was a black belt Tae kwan Do and has won few competitions and medals for her previous school.

She was also a member of school choral speaking team fwhich won as a runner up champion for Wilayah Persekutuan School annual championship.

POST 3: Becoming a future Chef or a Doctor ..?

By nature girls are good at......of course cooking... And this was what T was doing to fulfill her free time in the hostel. She was constantly communicating with her mum to show off her growing expertise in cooking.... Aha ... that's the positive things being away from parents and one need to be good in almost everything for survival...
